About Me

  • I am a 30 something girl.
  • I had 3 consecutive miscarriages in 7 months: MMC @ 8.5 weeks (10 week US), chemical @ less than 5 weeks, and a MMC @ 6 weeks (confirmed isochromosome 8).
  • I didn't have an issue conceiving, just keeping the pregnancies.
  • I went through a recurrent loss panel and all tests came back normal.
  • I had karyotyping done on myself and my husband. We are both normal as normal can be.
  • I had a normal hysteroscopy.
  • I had long cycles (35-41 days), late ovulation (around day 27), and a shorter luteal phase (11-12 days).
  • I took Femara to shorten my cycles & produce healthier eggs.
  • I had acupuncture and practiced yoga to help with the recurrent losses.
  • I am at a healthy weight (healthy BMI), I eat very healthfully, and exercise regularly.
  • I took prenatals, B6, CoQ10, Fish Oil, & acidophilus, daily.
  • I have 3 spoiled furbabies- 2 rescue kitties and 1 Dalmatian.
  • I am slightly hypothyroid and taking 25 mcg of Levothyroxine, daily.
  • I had gestational diabetes and took nightly insulin to help with fasting blood sugar during pregnancy.
  • I had PUPPPs starting at 40 weeks.  AWFUL!
  • My 4th pregnancy ended in the birth of my wonderful son on 4/18/13.  I am so glad that I never gave up trying!  :)

  1. I feel like I'm reading about myself!!! Although we have yet to complete all of our testing, I too have had the RPL and also have cycles that last from approx 33-41 days, with ovulation taking place around CD19-CD29. My LP is usually between 11-13 days as well. I have heard that "late ovulation" can be problematic to having a healthy pregnancy. My RE doesn't seem to think this is a factor. Thanks for checking out my blog!!! I'll be keeping an eye on yours now! - Melina

  3. I just stumbled across your blog and am so happy I did. I'm going through RPL as well - so far 2 chemicals, one 6wk m/c, and one 8wk m/c. All normal tests and I am also on 25 mcg of levothyroxine for a borderline thyroid. Crazy similarities. It gives me a lot of hope for a successful pregnancy after reading about your story. Very happy for you! :)
