#Microblog Mondays?  Read more about it here!

---------------------------------------------------------------------

I took the plunge this weekend and chopped off my quite a bit of my security blanket.  I mean hair.  Like 4 inches.  I haven't gotten a cut like this in quite a while, but I was definitely due for a change.

I'm not sure if any other mommies can relate, but my hair seems to be one of the things that has gotten the most neglected since having B.  I normally throw it up in a ponytail or bun...literally...EVERY...SINGLE...DAY.  My hairdresser even commented that I have a permanent ridge in my hair from doing that.  Oops.

Last night I did a french braid before bed and slept in it.  (Even though you can't really tell from this picture) it looks great compared to what it was.  It feels nice to NOT be wearing a bun to work today!!  Happy Monday!

Apologies for the poor picture quality!

  1. Looks nice! Cutting hair can be such a difficult thing to do, but it's nice to have a fresh style.

  2. It looks lovely, really! And I definitely relate to the long hair security blanket. I've had mine short for awhile now, but getting it cut that first time was nerve racking!

  3. My hair has been a big annoyance of mine postpartum. It's finally stopped falling out, but I also tend to fall back on a ponytail, too.

  4. I found myself tying up my hair all the time too - though it doesn't look good on me - so chopped it all off. Pixie cuts all the way. Sooo easy now to look after!

  5. It looks beautiful! And it's still quite long. I laughed over the opening: my hair is probably my security blanket too. I don't care for it well, but I also almost never cut it.

  6. This is lovely. I also find my hair is at the bottom of the list for things to care for. I ended up chopping off most of it after the Beats arrived because I wanted something more low maintenance. How I look forward to the day I can grow it out again.

  7. My hair is tied up in a half ponytail a LOT of the time. I have been growing it out for a while but sometimes wonder why I bother if I am just going to wear it tied up all the time! Good for you for getting a nice cut and doing something for yourself!
